Patzer Truck Repair: Remembering Brad Patzer

Brad Patzer, 59, of Harvey, ND, tragically passed away on April 17, 2022, near Patzer Truck Repair, the business he built from the ground up. This article commemorates Brad’s life, celebrating his accomplishments and the legacy he left behind. His funeral service was held at Harvey High School on April 23, 2022.

A Life Dedicated to Hard Work and Community

Brad was born on April 5, 1963, in Harvey, ND, to Harold and Theresa Patzer. He was a lifelong resident, graduating from Harvey High School in 1981. His career was defined by a strong work ethic and a passion for the automotive industry. He began his career with Border States Paving, rising through the ranks to become a foreman and superintendent. He later worked for Kuhn Manufacturing before establishing C&L Truck Repair in Harvey.

After a period working for Ames Construction in Spring Creek, NV, Brad returned to Harvey in 2003. He worked for Green Vision John Deere Implement before realizing his dream of owning his own shop. In 2016, he founded Patzer Truck and Ag Repair, providing essential vehicle repair services to the Harvey community. This business was a testament to his dedication and entrepreneurial spirit.

A Passion for Life Beyond Patzer Truck Repair

Beyond his professional life at Patzer Truck Repair, Brad was a man of many interests. He enjoyed fishing, drag racing, fixing cars, visiting casinos, hill climbing, riding his motorcycle, and snowmobiling. He was an avid sports fan, cheering for the New England Patriots, the NDSU Bison, and his favorite player, Tom Brady. Sundays were reserved for watching football with his daughter, Lacey. Above all, Brad cherished spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Braylee.

Remembering a Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather

Brad is survived by his wife, Sheila; daughters, Crystal Holzer and Lacey Grade; granddaughters, Braylee Holzer and a baby on the way; brothers, Jeff, Kelly, and Jamey Patzer; sister, Donna Patzer and Linda Appelt; and sisters-in-law, Deb Keller and Bonny Lynn Faul. He was preceded in death by his parents and close friend, Scott Muscha. Brad’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, both through his work at Patzer Truck and Ag Repair and his personal connections within the community.
