Exporadic Art: A Journey Through Artistic Exploration

Photography, for me, represents a current stage in my ongoing artistic exploration. It’s a medium I find both magical and versatile. The act of capturing light – a symphony of shapes and colors – through a lens, finding the perfect frame, and preserving a fleeting moment is a visual feast. The world offers an abundance of such feasts; we need only open our eyes and grasp them.

My artistic journey began long before photography. Art, in its various forms, has always been an integral part of my life. It fuels my search for purpose, meaning, happiness, love, and peace. This inherent drive led me to study painting and drawing at Margarita Checa’s workshop in Lima and later at the United World College of the Adriatic in Italy. I delved deeper into art history at the Sorbonne in Paris and explored plastic arts at the Catholic University of Lima, Peru.

London’s vibrant art scene further ignited my passion. While studying at City Lit, I immersed myself in the city’s countless museums and galleries. Back in Lima, I continued exploring contemporary art through courses at Corriente Alterna and the Photography Center. It was at the Photography Center, where I first experienced the magic of darkroom photography, that I transitioned to digital cameras and editing.

Each photograph I take becomes a trace of my existence, a moment captured in time. My hope is that these images resonate with others who share a similar artistic wavelength. The world is a canvas, and light is my paintbrush. Through photography, I strive to capture the Exporadic beauty that surrounds us.
