ECM Chevrolet Cruze: Lifetime Warranty and Return Policy

The Engine Control Module (ECM), sometimes referred to as the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Engine Control Unit (ECU), is a crucial component of your Chevrolet Cruze. It’s the brain of your vehicle’s engine, managing everything from fuel injection and ignition timing to emissions control. We offer a lifetime warranty on our Ecm Chevrolet Cruze modules. Understanding the details of this warranty and our return policy is vital before making a purchase.

Understanding the Lifetime Warranty on ECM Chevrolet Cruze Modules

Your ECM Chevrolet Cruze comes with a lifetime warranty, covering the module itself against defects. This warranty provides peace of mind knowing you’re protected against potential malfunctions. However, it’s important to understand the specifics of what this warranty covers and what it doesn’t. Labor costs associated with installation, removal, key programming, and locksmith fees are not covered under this warranty. The seller’s liability is limited solely to the price of the ECM Chevrolet Cruze.

Return Policy for ECM Chevrolet Cruze: Key Details

Returns are accepted, but must adhere to specific guidelines. You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before returning your ECM Chevrolet Cruze. Returns without an RMA will be considered unauthorized and may not be processed. Unauthorized returns will be held for 45 days, after which they may be disposed of. All returned ECMs are thoroughly inspected for signs of damage, including burnt components, physical damage, and water damage.

Restocking and Programming Fees for ECM Chevrolet Cruze Returns

A 20% restocking fee applies to all returns for a refund. Additionally, if your ECM Chevrolet Cruze was programmed before return, an $85 non-refundable programming fee will be deducted. If keys were also purchased, a $90 non-refundable key fee applies. All money-back returns must be initiated within 30 days of receiving the ECM. After 30 days, returns may be eligible for exchange or store credit only. Store credit is subject to return fees if the unit is deemed free of defects by the seller. The seller retains the right to request the return of a potentially faulty ECM Chevrolet Cruze for testing at the buyer’s expense before issuing a replacement.

Additional Terms and Conditions for ECM Chevrolet Cruze Returns

The lifetime warranty is void if the returned ECM Chevrolet Cruze shows evidence of misuse, abuse, modification, tampering, damage from a vehicle collision, or if the security seal is broken or removed. You must activate the warranty within 20 days of purchase for it to be valid. The seller is not responsible for any additional costs you might incur related to a potentially faulty ECM, such as locksmith fees, diagnostic fees, or rental car expenses. International buyers are responsible for all tariffs, taxes, and import carrier fees. Refusal of the package upon delivery will void any refund. This transaction falls under the jurisdiction of New York State law. The warranty is limited to a single claim.
